BX2200 oil change

I want to change the oil in my recent acquired BX2200. I see in the owners manual that there is 3 different oil weights that can be used. I was wondering what others are using? I bought pennzoil 10W40.

Just make sure it is compression engine rated. It will have a "C" in front of the rating. Like CJ4 or similar.

I need to return it and get some Rotella T5 10W40.

I use Chevron Delo 400 from Costco 10w40

Or

Shell Rotella from Sam's Club 10W40.

Both rated rather high on a diesel oil test.

Ditch the Penzoil for sure!Shell Rotella 10W30 is an excellent conventional motor oil for compact tractors.Kubota's factory fill is 10W30.If you're a synthetic guy,any of the 5W40 diesel oils will be great.The Kubota manuals are woefully out of date on oil specs.Good Luck!

I use Kubota or did yesterday when I did my F3080 change and also a Kubota oil filter from a Kubota dealer (Barlows), since it's a Kubota. Never gives me worries or concerns about right oil or right weight but I've only owned 15 Kubotas.:2cents:

The amount of oil with filter is 3.8 quarts. The owners manual is wrong.

Shell Rotella Full Synthetic 5W-40 and I'll second the owners manual states the wrong capacity. If the tractor is new to you, be aware there are two fuel filters. One is easy to get at and the other takes a bit more work and is located underneath. If you don't know the service history, I'd consider changing the front axle lube also. Use conventional gear lube.

FYI and not related to the title... My Dad has the same tractor and recently the electric fuel pump failed. The Kubota replacement is rather expensive and we ended up using an aftermarket automotive electric fuel pump that was a direct bolt in for a 1/3 of the price.
