My BX2200 has a 60" MMM deck - is was quite out of level side-to-side (~3/4") when I got it. The manual has no description of how to level the deck side-to-side, only front to back, which I don't understand either. I think they missed some things when stuffing 3 different deck designs into the same manual. It looks like adjusting on the spring-loaded bolts on the far sides of the rear lifting bar would do it, but changing tension on the springs did nothing - guess they're just shock absorbers.
Anyway, I ended up leveling the deck by adjusting the positions of the threaded thingies that hang off of the lift arms (held to deck by pins). I leveled it more-or-less front to back the same way - one of the adjusters is easily 1/2" different from the other. It is now perfect side to side, and pretty close front to back, but I'm no longer calibrated with the cutting height knob. Can anyone describe the correct procedure to calibrate and level the deck in laymens terms?
