Hello All - I am new to this forum so please forgive me if this has been asked before.

I am getting ready to purchase a new BX2200 with a 60" deck and FEL. It will be used for work on my 27 acres for mowing and general manteniance and some gardening. The horses cut most of the grass so mowing is down to 5 acres or less. I have been reading your posts for hours and am wondering what types of implements are being used with this tractor. I realize that the ground clearance is not great. Please add to the list below if you use something else. I am particularly interested to know if one of you are pulling a small 2 bottom plow with the BX2200.

Thanks so much for the input and help!!!

FEL
Mid-Mount mower
Snow Blower
Front Blade
Rear Blade
Box Blade
Post Hole Digger
Rotary Tiller

Well, I hit on 5 of the implements you listed. Add a Pulverizer to the list. I think i can say that those of us the have a BX pretty much love them. They have their limitations, but so does every other tractor on the market.

the two bottom plow may be one of those limitations. It MAY do it if you have the right soil (soft, loamy) and the right tires, but you are starting to push the limitations of a small compact tractor. Accordint to the manual for the BX, it'll pull a single bottom. I just got a tiller instead. It's a Howard Rotavator HR3 50" and the BX handles it just fine in hard clay.

PTO spreader such as the Herd M-96, PTO sprayer, flexible Harrow, 40 to 48 inch rotary cutter, look at the recent thread about KK XB implements. J

I have never used one but I have seen small discs like this one used. It's usefullness depends on your expectations. For keeping a garden plot, beds etc I think you need a tiller but for breaking the crust on ground, pasture renovation (scratching the surface up) etc these are fine. In softer soils they turn up pretty good and you can add ballast to them for better penetration. The BX will run out of traction and spin so you would use this implement with the FEL attached for ballast weight and filled tires might be nice also. I want one, I know that and I am going to use it on the 2410 as well.
