The 3ph should not be dropping like that. I had a 150 lb. cultivator on it for 24 hrs. at max height with very little drop. As to linkage adjustment, I wish I could help, but can't give you an answer.
Agreed that you are popping the system relief when you hear the noise. Thats' normal.
