Several weeks ago, I got the BX2200 back from the dealer after having the Woods BH6000 put on. At the same time I got the new seat, replaced knuckles, and had the mechanical retrofit cruise control put on. The first time I cranked up, I noticed the fuel guage, temp guage, hour meter, and glow plugs weren't working. It did crank though. I found that a 15 amp fuse had blown. The label on the side is really faded, but it looks like it used to say BCC, but it might have been PCG, or PGC, or some such; I just can't tell for sure. Anyways, I replaced the fuse. Things worked for a couple of weeks, then Sunday, I noticed the guages down again. I put another fuse in today, and the glow plugs didn't even come on. The fuse blew instantly as soon as I turned the key one position.
I would think that there was an intermittent short, that is now completely shorted. I understand electrical circuits, but have no idea where all the things on this circuit start, end, go, or what else is even on this circuit. All 4 of those things share the instrument panel in common. Has anyone else had a similar experience? No fuses had ever blown in the almost 8 years and 300 operating hours that I've had the tractor. I do not know if the work I had done is related or not. Perhaps a wire was attached incorrectly, or perhaps the insulation stripped from a scuff and it's grounding, perhaps a wire is being pinched somewhere to the point that the insulation has been pierced.
I hope I don't have to tow the tractor back to the dealer. Anyone have any ideas where to look, what to do? Advice is appreciated.
On a separate note, in the mail was a little notice that my B-T thumb and ripper are waiting to be picked up!
