Hi Guys, 1st time posing on this great site. I've gained alot of insight regarding the purchase of my new garden tractor. I've ordered a new BX2200 with the FEL, 60" MMM grill guard and the 4-way valve. BTW the price I got was 12,350.00 with an out of state delivery. I called my dealer( Hueys Equipment Poplarville, Ms.) today and he said my tractor was in, but, the FEL was on backorder until Oct 1st. I would much rather get the entire rig as ordered, but, I can't wait till Oct. So I told him to bring it on with out the FEL. Have any of you guys heard of this?

Yeah, my dealer was able to get the loader from another dealer though and was able to finish installing it just as I got there to demo the BX this past April. I bought it and, because of the distance, it would have been a real pain to have to wait. He had 6 or so BX 2200's there and no other FEL's were available. Guess they are becoming a popular add on.

My dealer had a few last month when I had him add it to my existing BX. Why did you get the 4 way valve/what will you use it for?
Just curious. My understanding is that it is only needed if you add the front quick hitch for tilt on a front blade.

To be perfectly honest with you I don't know if or when I'll use the 4way valve. I had to have something thrown in (for free) after our deal was made, and, not knowing these tractors too well , that's what I asked for. The dealer said okay, so I feel better. I think it's the same line of thinking that motivated me to order heated seats in my new pick-up, when I live in southern Louisiana. So how do you like your BX?

Last time I saw it, (Saturday) it was strewn accross the shop floor of my dealer getting a new primary fuel tank put on it. I also had him put on the grill gaurd and a New Holland 3PH weight kit. Sometimes I wonder if the maintenance will be alot of trouble but we shall see. Overall, the BX is an awesome machine. Let me advise you to get a counterbalance for you loader BEFORE you use it. I alsmost had an accident because I thought I'd "try it".

For future buyers, after you decide which tractor/implements you want, but don't have the cash, you should atleast reserve it, that way it's waiting for you. I only had to put down $400 to reserve a $14,000+ tractor.

You will like your BX. The loader being back ordered is not a big deal. I waited a few weeks for mine I remember. It is a quick install and not really involved so I would not worry--go ahead and take delivery and any small things that coime up when he comes to install the loader or pick the unit up they can attend to those items also.
Check your fluid levels, check your grease fittings on the mower deck for grease, check that the deck is somewhat level at least--it may not be level during raisng and lowering but it should be level in the mowing position.
The BX will make quick work of your 3.5 acres, maybe you should see if your neighbors need some mowing done. J
