Tractor
Kubota BX 2200
Someone at work is selling and I was was wondering if the BX2200
could handle it. I've got about 4 acres I could use it on as well as some path clearing. It's 5 foot cat 1 w/ 540 RPM PTO.

Used they want 300 and it's has new shaft bearing seals.

I'm kinda new to tractoring and the BX2200 so any help would
be great.

Thanks

Chris

I own a 2200 but use a mmm, however, the price for the mower seems good and the rpm at the rear pto is correct. The 2200 is a cat 1 so that it should mate up to the tractor. The 3ph will lift in excess of 1000 pounds, I think, so you should be able to lift the mower for turning.
Maybe someone else would comment on the mower itself.....

Thanks a bunch, the owner doesn't know much about it, ie. weight of the cutter and I know that the BX had some issues with some implements. I went to woodsonline but didn't see an M5 if anyone
know that would be great :)

I have a Woods M5 DIXIE cutter and it would be to much for a BX2200. It is to heavy for it. I run mine on a 33 horse tractor and wouldn't want it only anything much smaller.

Thanks, my first thought was that it may be but wasn't sure.
