I was wondering if I could use a 72" finish deck on the back of my BX2200. I have a lot of grass to cut (10 acres) and every little bit helps vs the 60" MMM. The grass would be cut regularly so would not be that tall. I know of one I could borrow to try out before buying. I know it goes against factory reccomendations, but I am sure they build a safety margin into this. Any thoughts?
I guess it might be ok . BUT i think you are pushing it. 10 acres cut often is a lot to ask. what kind of grass? hills? weather? would be helpful if u filled in your profile a bit.
Gutterman, I had used a Woods 72" RFM on the back of my 23hp Cub 7234 with no problems except I had to be extra careful going down a steep slope when the grass was wet. It would push the tractor down the hill /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif if I was going too fast and then locked up my turf tires trying to stop or slow down. I still have the Woods mower and will probably try sell it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
What about towing one of those trailer mowers they have for behind ATV's along with the MMM? That would give you an additional 60 inches instead of 12 inches for about the same money.
