BX22
I have found something that the BX22 just cannot do. I hit into some decomposed granite that the BX22 backhoe can't cut. I got most the the way as you can see from the pictures. The last 30 feet is just too hard. I'll get something bigger and make it go away. As you can see from the claw marks on the bank. This little baby will do some digging. I have about 10 hours in this project. Without the BX22 I would never have started it.

Here is how far I got today with laying the block. The heat here has me limited to morning and evening hours. I am planning my next project a nice pond.

Thanks David. I am sure you are familiar with the stuff I am digging through. I was not expecting to get as much out as I did. I will try to wet it down and maybe get more. I am at 44.5 hours. I can't believe how much work I get out of that little tractor. I'm also glad I bought when I did, it sounds like the BX22s are in short supply right now. I don't think we would have a CK20 Kioti with backhoe yet. I have not gotten a call from the dealer in Hemet. So I am assuming he never received any. Have fun on your BX.. Gary

Hey Gary did you buy a tooth bar. I bought one and when I wet the soil it digs pretty well. I got it from Pauley Equipment for three hundred something? It is well built easy to install and has replaceable teeth. Are you running into any rocks I pulled my 2nd large rock about the size of two 42 gallon trash cans . sorry I haven't posted any pictures yet. My lot is full of rocks about half dirt and half rock I think. What is your prioject ? A larger Porch ? more flat ariea ? David

I got the tooth bar also. It is very handy when digging or moving loads of mulch/compost around. I have gotten 65 yards so far from the city of San Diego. They deliver real cheap. The last batch I got this morning. I am trying to cover all the weeds I can before the next good rain. No big rocks that I could try to move. a few at the back of the property the size of a motorhome. I got a little more done on my retaining wall this morning. Then it got too hot, and I went to the dentist. I want to get it done before I leave for work in Alaska. The black stuff is the compost, ready to plant in, real nice stuff.

Gary, Just wondering which toothbar you purchased for your BX22? Are you satisfied with it? I have not recieved my machine yet but I do expect it in a week or so. Trying to line up some accessories while I wait patiently.

Are the type of retaining wall blocks that you are using a local product ?

Do you think that they might be available nationally. What is the local dealer/distributor's name?

I've had my BX22 for about 2 months, purchased a toothbar from my dealer soon after I got it home. It's a Loflin, 46 1/2" with replaceable teeth. Only one I have or have ever used as I'm new to the tractor game but it seems to do the job. It was $275, delivered and installed from the same dealer I bought the tractor from. Haven't priced the teeth and will be surprised if I ever wear one out but you never know.

Pretty sure it was made by these folks:

Good luck with your new tractor, I'm having a great time with mine and finding new uses all the time!
