This is my first post on this forum and I want to thank all the contributors for all the great advice and ideas. I bought my BX22 this Fall thanks to the comments on tractorbynet. I have attached some photos of a bolt-on class III receiver hitch implementation for the BX22 bucket. I got the idea from some of the many good posts on this forum.

Nice first post, johnnyk. I like your installation directly in line with the hyd. cylinder and it looks like the bottom of the reciever is flush with the lip of bucket. I have a small garden trailer that I want to move around the property without having to remove the backhoe or rear blade. I’ll need to get ball mount with quite a bit of drop due to the height of the receiver. The trailer is buried in about two feet of snow right now so it will be a while before I try things out.

I used a 3/4" metal cutting hole saw at low rpm. Use plenty of cutting oil and the saw doesn't even get hot to the touch. Much easier than using a drill bit for this size hole. No binding and only moderate pressure required on the drill. I would guess about 5 minutes to go through ¼” of steel.

Nice job just one suggestion. You should have made your spacers the same size as the plate of the hitch bracket. This allows the load placed on the bracket to be evenly distributed on the bucket. Having those smaller square spacers puts all the forces concentrated on a smaller area of the bucket which can cause it to bend/deform.

The small square spacers that <font color=blue>johnnyk</font color=blue> used come with the bolt-on class III receiver hitch kit. I believe it should work fine the way he has mounted it. If you look at the top of your BX2200 loader bucket you will see that there are two plate steel supports on top. He would still need to place the small square spacers underneath any other piece of steel that he might have used. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
