I am going to be fencing off 2 acres this summer. I don't like renting. My back likes hydraulics. The BX22 with a 3ph Post hole digger sounds like the ticket. My concern is since the 22 sits low to the ground (relatively speaking),
how deep a hole can I dig?
will a 36" bit drag in the ground while I drive?

I think I want to be down at least 30" using 4x4 posts. will the 22 cut it?

Thanks again, you guys are always tops! :)

I bought a PHD (Woods 1120) with my BX-22. You are correct about the height--30" is about the limit. That being said, you may be able to do get deeper with a different PHD if it has adjustable top-link mounting points so you can use a longer auger...but I'm speculating here.

The machine is incredible, however, and I'm very pleased with my BX-22.
