Just after lunch today I told my wife we should get some skid plates for our tractor... then a couple of hours later ran over a stick and broke the blades off the HST fan :ashamed:

Searching here I see that some people have cut the replacement fan to put it on without having to get the shaft out - how is that working out?

Does anyone have a link to instructions on replacing with the removal of the shaft so I can see what's involved?

Thanks!

The job took me +/- about 8 hours across 2 days.

Take your time, and its all do-able.

I got it done this weekend following those instructions. It really wasn't that bad. Took a bit over three hours to get everything apart & change the fan, another two hours to put it back together.

Thanks again for the link to the instructions.
