Bx1850 with blown axle seals

Started the tractor after about a month and it's leaking hydro on both sides where the axle comes through the frame
I'm hoping it's just the seals, but since they both blew out at once?? That seems odd.
Any help is sincerely appreciated...

To clarify, it's the power steering "axle"

It's not an axle at all, it's the hydrostatic steering ram and it's time for new seals. Looks to me like you allowed the boots to fail and dirt got between the seals and the ram. Odd they both went at the same time but stranger things have happened. Depending on how bad the ram is scored, you might be in for a new assembly and they ain't cheap. Just the outer axial joints are over 100 bucks a toss and by the amount of crud I see, I'd say they are shot.

You need to start taking better care of your tractor I'd say.

Did you recently change engine oil? Just asking. Last year, I did on my BX2670. I thought for sure I blew a seal like you, but turns out, the front main was passing oil because I filled the engine to the full mark. It doesn’t like it. Everything pointed to the power steering. It wasn’t. Just offering a thought.

I didn't describe the problem very well. That puddle of hydro fluid on my garage floor had me rattled. tx
