BX1800 Starting Issue

Just for fun take off the fuel line from the filter by the injection pump and turn the key on to see how much fuel you have coming from the lift pump. You can also check the stop lever connected to the solenoid to see if it is free, have also heard of weird things happening when the spring inside the injection pump failed.

OK, another thing to try while I have the shrouds off.

A friend at work told me that he had to put a mini-bungee cord on his solenoid lever while he waited for a part, and the symptoms were just like mine. So that sounds promising.
