Fixed the rediculous need for wrenches to adjust the the top link. I drilled the link tube to 3/8" and stuck a 3/8" bolt in it. I (brass) brazed a piece of 3/8" x 2" rod to the lock nut and stuck a split-lock washer in between for good measure. I expect to do similar to the side link soon. It ain't a big project but has been buggin me since Baby started working for me. Why did I braze instead of weld ... cuz I could but, wasn't wasn't sure I remembered how I guess.
Cheers!

Just about like that /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ... I was going to add a comment regarding your mishap and good fortune finding a "good" top link ... but I didn't ...
Cheers, friend!!

Nice looking modification to make your life a bit easier.

Now sometime down the road if you decide to add a hydraulic top like you'll think you died and went straight to heaven. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Just finishing [my part] of this thread:
Attached shows the completed side link (and top link). I brazed a 3/8" x 24 nut to the side link coupler and a 3/8" x 2" rod to the lock nut. ... seems to work ok so far.

Mike: I drool each and every time I see or read of TnT and/or a bucket grapple! Some day I may make them happen. Unfortunately, it will require me to take this tractor thing more seriously than I'm willing to at this point /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

In my case I whouldn't have enough room to spin a side link with a bolt that long sticking out the side of it. It would interfere with the tire and other goodies.

Sure enough, would you look at that!

Who the h*ll is that dumb %&* giving advise when he can't even get it right himself?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Another suggestion that I know you'll wonder why you waited so long, change to the telescoping stabilizer links from the B2910. There have been several others that have done this and it's only about $60 for the parts, and for the ease and convenience, money well spent.
