So wanted to give my 2 cents on the ever popular bx vs. b debate on here and give you my personal experiences. I started with a BX 2230 loader/mower and loved it. Sold it because I got a great deal on a zero turn (Kubota zg223) and already had a b7800 for loader work. Well the zero turn was not any quicker, and actually I could never get it to turn well without dragging or tearing up my lawn so I lost the speed advantage anyway. It did however ride better. I was also disappointed as I couldn稚 mow the banks with my zero.. was just dangerous!

So fast forward I purchased a grand l4060 with a cab for my big work projects to replace the b7800 (also had a Curtis cab and front blower) and in turn brought that home and sold the zero turn and bought a mower for the b7800. Well it was a miserable mowing experience. Too heavy, too top heavy to the banks and the mower was not a floating deck so adjustments were a huge pain. Was the best MOW I have ever seen in terms of cut but the vibration, noise and tippyness just wasn稚 going to cut it. I didn稚 care about the cab and front mount blower I hated compared to the rear mount.. Sold that and was between a bx 2370/2670 and the b2620. I already had a rear 64" snow blower which was just too big for the BX so I took a flyer on the b2620.

I couldn稚 be happier. I think this is the PERFECT size tractor for home use. Strangely it does NOT turn as sharp as the bigger 7800 or the bx but everything else is just right. I feel just as comfortable on side hills as the BX, love the extra loader capacity and ground clearance for in the woods. Deck is easier to remove and has more clearance when attached. plenty of power.

Only complaint I have on the b2620 is the seat. Need to upgrade. Anyone have any direct bolt options? Like to have an adjustable back and lumbar.

Went thru some of those same steps and finally ended up with Kubota Fs (One 2wd rental flat land and one 4wd for hillside home acreage) for my mowing and the B2620 FEL BH for my tractoring. A BX25 would work as well for me as the B2620 at my current level of need after working my land for 11 years.

I have John Deere 757 0 turn, Kioti 45 SE and BX 2200. I prefer BX 2200 with loaded tires and no loader by far for mowing those pucker factor slopes. John Deere gets stuck and tears up the grass with any small slope or rain. Orange is the way to go.

I like my B 2620...would like to hear from any one that has a seat upgrade as well.

I can't believe you guys like a tractor better for slopes. I would take my Hustler any day over the BX. As far as speed goes, the ZT is way faster and does a great job of straight line cuts. I also don't like side discharge and my 72" front deck with Meg-Mow four tip blade system cuts up the clipping pretty fine and doesn'r leave sll the clipping to one side.
