Got out my Harbor Freight special wire feed welder this morning and made a bracket to carry the new 25 gal sprayer I just bought. Takes only 2 bolts to install/remove bracket.

I couldn't see from the picture, but are you just going to use the wand sprayer or are you going to have a boom attachment? If a boom, how where and how are you going to mount it?

Not going to use a boom sprayer in the short term.
If I want to do that later ( I do), I figure I can modify the bracket for an up-front boom mount. Will probably mount boom near bottom of sprayer unit to minimize drift.

That is a very nice design! Wish I had seen that about two days ago.

I just bought a similar 25 gal. sprayer on Friday, and this weekend I made a wooden platform for it so that it will sit in my FEL bucket, so that the sprayer tank is level when the FEL is tilted up slightly. (So that the tank won't slide out!) The tank is bolted to the platform, and the whole thing can be slid out of the FEL bucket onto the ground even when full of water.

I think that tomorrow I will try to find about 30 feet more hose so that I can park in one place and spray weeds up and down the driveway and fence rows.

How are you powering your sprayer? I thought about hooking directly to my BX23's battery, but I think I will just sit a small garden tractor battery in the FEL bucket and hook up to that.

Rimmer,
Last year, in anticipation of adding toys, I added a a 4-fuse circuit box that is powered up by a solenoid fired from the ignition key. This circuit box sits on top of the BX's battery. All I had to do was run a wire from one of the free curcuits up to the front end. The sprayer came with a quick-connect power socket. Made it real easy.

Hi, RET. Just an opinionated word-to-the-wise. If you intend to use the rig as a boom sprayer, you may want to modify your setup to work off of the rear of the tractor. Otherwise you will be driving through the output. Many of the chems you will be applying are highly corrosive and toxic to boot. Most pros and farmers like leaving their chems behind them as they travel.
