BX owners: any ways to increase loader capacity?

I find the hydro on my L48 to be laboriously slow in reverse.

That is because you have construction gear ratios.

If you had a farm-oriented /60 'Grand L' with a Backhoe, the base from which the L48 is derived, you would have 'faster', higher ratio gearing in both forward and reverse.
That makes sense, and I read about that somewhere but forgot. I know that 2nd is too close to 1st in range, which was a complaint with the L48. I understand the L47 solved that in the range, and with the HST Plus gave the 6 speeds.

I went in to buy the one remaining L47 in FL on 12/30/2020, but it was sold. I like that throttle-up without speed on the loader option as well, and the creep mode. But I get by both using the HST pedal and throttle, and I creep with the bucket (gotten pretty darn good at it) respectively.

At the end of the day, I am glad I have the L48, it allows me to make all my mistakes on an older machine. And I do love the simplicity. But, if life goes well, I will be trading for an L47 someday. These compacts are brutes in the digger dept.

Thats opposite of what I've seen here, typically a comparable deere is more then Kubota, the main thing I see is unequal comparisons as far as models go, comparing premium models to more basic (or economy) models.

What model does Deere have that compares to the L47? Kubota seems to have pretty much cornered the smaller dedicated TLB market last I looked.
That may be why I had the 65HP deere at 10K less than the L47 in central FL. There were several around as well. I just got hooked on the Kubota.

It might have been foolish, but I didn't even price anything else. The Orange dealership is 2 miles from home, and I know the fella who runs the place. He's actually called me by my dad's name a few times . I know many people with small Kubota tractors who are wholly satisfied, and I'm satisfied with my ZG222 zero turn. The green dealership is only about 30 minutes from home, but heck I could literally drive my tractor to the Kubota place if I need to, and jog home!
