I asked this question in my 'blew steering line' thread, but didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle, since the two knobs are solely what kept me from finishing the full disassembly part of the line replacement job. So, how do the knobs come off? Threaded somehow, or do I just pull really hard?

I don't know, but I'm interested to find out too. I'll be watching this thread.

I used a small 3 jaw puller hooked to a slide hammer & they popped right off.

Just pull hard. I used an open end wrench and tapped it with a hammer.
