After multiple filter and fuel pump changes I expected to find material blocking the fuel outlet inside my tank but.... my tank was clean.

I think I have an occasionally collapsing or pinched fuel line (it's 15 years old) so the back half of tractor has to come off which I was trying to avoid.

The plate comes from "Boyd welding" in Florida for $38 plus shipping, SKU44033. I carefully redrilled the holes in the tank a little larger than suggested using metal plate as a template and it worked perfectly.

Hope this helps others, it's a great well made product

I thought I replied to this post. Maybe a duplicate of one posted at OTT?

Why did you install an inspection plate when you found the tank clean to begin with?

I am starting to get the feeling this is a back door approach to promoting the product...:(

I posted this on OTT as well because this seemed to be a common problem with these tractors.

I could only find 2 other inspection plates both marine applications, one from Australia (and not available here) the other was too pricey.

As I said before, I found the tank clean AFTER I installed the inspection plate.

No back door approach.

I've gotten a lot of great information from these sites and wanted to share some info that's all.

Thanks for the clarification.

Since you mentioned first that the tank was clean, and then moved on to the inspection plate, I thought you meant you installed the plate after finding the tank was clean...;)
