I bought a BX2680 approximately a year ago primarily for blowing snow with a front mounted snow blower. The first time I tried to start the tractor after it was delivered the battery was dead, and the battery was drained if it sat for more than a few days the entire winter. The factory electric chute deflector never worked from the first time I blew snow and it had a huge puddle of hydraulic fluid under it from the beginning. Once I could safely pull a trailer up the mountain to my house last spring I took it in for warranty. The original diagnosis was that the steering was leaking hydraulic fluid under the dash onto the battery which was draining the battery. When I called BS the service manager screamed at me over the phone. I went to pick it up and it would not start. After several trips to the dealer along with turning them into Kubota it has held a charge for 3 weeks at a time and does not seem to leak anymore over the last couple of months. It is hard to remember everything that went down, but if I remember correctly, they originally tied the chute deflector into the auxiliary light wires at the back of the tractor. I just installed lights on my ROPS and attempted to connect to these wires and they are only live when the key is off. If you connect to them while the key is off you can hear a relacy make and the lights light up. When the key is on the relay does not make and the lights do not come on. Before I wire directly to the battery, does anyone have any idea what the dealer has done to make this happen? If I could easily correct it, I will if not I will wire directly to the battery, no matter what it costs, I will never set foot in this dealer again and I do not want to jeopardize what seems to be a electrical system that holds a charge.

Three weeks isn't very long for a battery to hold a charge. Your tractor apparently isn't right yet. Is there a REPUTABLE dealer within driving distance? Beyond that get a service manual to track down how it's supposed to be wired. I think you still have wiring issues.

There are 2 light connection behind the seat. One is switched through the key and the other one all the time. It needs to be connected to the switch connector otherwise it will constantly draw a small charge.
