Well tomorrow's the day. I get my new BX 2230 delivered.
I'd like to share a dealer story if you don't mind me taking up bandwidth.
As I was shopping around for a tractor, the one constant message from this board was to be comfortable with your dealer, the dealer makes all the difference, etc., etc., etc. Well let me tell you about my dealer and why I feel good about my choice.
First, he matched the lowest price I had found elsewhere. Probably no big deal because it led to a sale, but there's more. Yesterday, Kubota had a major computer glitch in their credit department, making it impossible for the dealers to electronically file credit applications. They had to revert to faxing the paperwork, which slowed everything down, since the clerks on the other end had to then manually process everything. Consequently, my dealer does not have formal approval on my credit application. I get the call this afternoon full of apologies and was expecting to hear that the delivery would be delayed until Kubota worked through all the issues and formally approved my credit application. But that's not what happened.
Instead, my dealer told me that they would be delivering as planned tomorrow, but they would probably not have the necessary paperwork available to sign. Would I mind stopping by the dealership sometime down the road and sign all the necessary forms??? Unbelievable.
Now I'm an honest individual and would not think twice about not doing following through with the deal, but, quite frankly, I did not have a prior relationship with this dealer. In this day and age, where con artists sometimes abound and make life rough for the rest of us, it was refreshing to find such trust.
Bottom line, I"M GETTING MY TRACTOR tomorrow!!!!!!
LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!
