BX cockpit is small

MBCF ask about a small cockpit on the BX and ask for a suggestion. I also found this to be true and the reason for looking at the post. I qualify a different brand as a suggestion or solution! I'm 6'1" and 350 and stated I would buy any of the brands. The other orange tractor affords me more room.

BTW..............I owned a Kubota B9200HST for 8 years and never had a problem with it, great tractor. You will never hear me say anything bad about a Kubota!

gippolit,

I noticed that you have replied to a couple of posts in the Kubota forum asking about Kubota's and your response is always to tell them to look at Kioti's.

There is a Kioti forum here, perhaps you have accidentially bookmarked the Kubota forum by mistake.

I think you identified a solution:

For the backhoe consider Woods or Bradco on a subframe.

No question the cockpit is relatively small, on a relatively small tractor. I'm "only" 6', and I can see how if I were bit bigger, it could be more of a problem. I'd prefer it if the steering wheel were a bit higher up.

As for "sliding off the front of the seat on downhill slopes", I'd suggest wearing the seatbelt. I find wearing the seatbelt much more comfortable than slamming sensitive parts into the steering wheel when the tractor encounters an immovable object.

A lot of people that are 6' or taller have replied, but no one has honed in on the real problem. Two people of the same hight and weight can have different experiences on the same machine. This is a result of the length of their legs. Some people have more length in their torso and others have it in there legs. Some people of the same weight have that weight distributed differently in their bodies. We are all not created equal when it comes to size. Tractors, like shoes need to fit the person properly otherwise, they will feel uncomfortable when using it. I don't subscribe to one tractor fits all, nor do I subscribe to the belief that one tractor brand is always better just because a majority of people say so. Try the different brands and models and find the one that you feel most comfortable using. The wrong tractor, like the wrong wife will make your life miserable.
