Funny you should ask. I just received mine yesterday. It looks to be built very well. But there's no snow to use it on, yet.

IMO their plow would be a better choice.

I've got both the expander and the plow.

The expander is nice. I'm not sure it would be a great choice for heavy digging. But for light material movement it really makes a difference in how much the poor BX's bucket can hold. It worked well for moving some mulch and topsoil in my yard.

I'm not quite sure its 100% more capacity, but it feels like a solid 75% more material in each bucketful and that makes the projects go a whole lot faster.

the bucket holds approx 2 full wheelbarrows now, with the expander it could go to 4 ?

I've had my expander for about a week now. At first I was having trouble getting the lower clamps to secure the bucket. Harry from BXpanded was very helpful with his suggestions. In the end a couple of bushings and longer bolts did the trick. I used the expander to move a mountain of snow the other day and it worked like a charm.

is that bushing necessary only on the bx 25? did you get the cutting edge option? thanks for the reply

The bushing was my idea. No matter how much I centered or shifted the bucket from side to side, I couldn't get the lower clamps to wrap around the cutting edges of the bucket. Using the bushings and longer bolts solved that problem. They stayed put and didn't budge an inch.

I do have the cutting edge. It's bolted onto the edge of the expander. It got scraped up pretty well moving the last snowfall around. I think it will end up being a good addition.

Hey Dan, Im considering one of these and was wondering how they fit into or on the bucket and how the top clamps work. Sorry to bring up and old post but a few pictures would be worth a thousand words.

Thanks Chris

Based on Baryon's experience, we made a slight change in the clamp to accomodate the variations in buckets. No bushing is required.
