BX 4 way valve needed............

I am looking at purchasing a used BX and it has the 3 way valve on the tractor..... might someone here have a 4 way valve that they would be willing to trade for the 3 way plus some $$$$$$ ..... I want to install a snow blower on my tractor and don't want the expense of a new valve. The tractor that I am looking at has very low hours on it.... thanks

goodluck since it seems that every BX owner wants one. I think the only place you will find on is from a bota dealer. If you are getting a used BX (whichever model) I think the 4-way is like 300 to 400 bills....not much

You were only off by $100.... I was told it would cost $500 for a new valve.. Don't understand why the factory doesn't just install a 4 way in all the machines?

I had owned my new BX for about 3 months when I went back to purchase a front blade setup; and needed the 4 way. The dealer was willing to trade the valve for only the price difference. When you go to buy your blower, you may be able to work a similar deal.

I know list is $600 but no one in there right mind pays retail. I would call around. I know I have seen them way cheaper then that.

Dealers around here aren't that amiable.they will come a little but not willing to give any what I call great deals and they won't trade......................It's more of a "Buy Mine" atmosphere /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

My dealer just put a 4 way on my 3830 which was part of the deal that I made with them for the blower, but I still don't understand what it does and why I needed it. Could someone please explain it's function? Thanks.

solved the problem today...... passed on the used BX 22 and bought a new one.
