A while ago I saw a post on using the 3 point hitch arms from another Kubota tractor to replace the originals on a BX. Does any one remember the post? I have searched for it for over an hour and just can't find it. I think that I remember something about them telescoping.... thanks .... Junkman

Charliebrn posted some info on this a while back. Do a search using just "telescoping"

The messages I recall reading were for replacing the stabilizer arms on the BX with telescoping stablizer arms. I did that to my BX and it was fast/easy/relatively inexpensive.

I don't recall anyone switching lift arms, but might have been before my time.

thanks to both of you for the help..... I did find the posts and have read two of them so far. I will try to digest all the information and make the change to telescoping arms. Not exactly sure of what the modification to the parts is and what tools will be required, but the verbal descriptions are plenty and hopefully I will be able to do this with out much problem. If anyone else wants to see the links, I have posted them below...... thanks again..... link 1 link 2

I installed the telescoping sway bars last winter. I believe you will find it an easy and worthwhile modification. It sure makes it easier to install and remove implements.

I agree totally. The only negative I've found is that with the BX-22, these stabilizers make removing the 3pt for installation of the 'hoe a little more cumbersome, at least in my experience. I can live with that given that the 3pt is much better to use with other implements.

I finally got around to installing the arms today. Figured that I would take advantage of the 65 degree weather. We don't get many warm days like this in the middle of the winter. I even planted some Hyacinth bulbs that I found in the box that the arms were in. Forgot all about them being in there. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif A mind is a terrible thing to misplace.... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif I only wish that I knew what I had done with the attaching hardware. Had to improvise until the package reappears..... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I wanted to see how well it worked with the additional weight in back, so I attempted to dig into the pile of frozen snow. Works better than having the backhoe on for weight.. Picture 3
