Hi.
Looking for some help with replacement of the reduction box drive shaft (and sprocket gear) on my kubota BX2750c blower. I removed the reduction box but am at a loss as to how to remove the shaft from the bearings (without damaging them). Is this something I can do with a large punch (possibly damaging the flange) or is there another way I can get them separated. Or should I take it to a shop and have them do it.

Thanks!

Generally, it is safest and easiest to have the shaft pressed out of the bearing. Having the proper plates to support the bearing while pressing the shaft out is critical.

Can't imagine it costing much, certainly cheaper than new bearings.

Will take it the local tractor shop up the road and see if they can do something with it. Figured it was something that would require a shop.

Thanks!
