I HAVE A BX 2660. I NOTICED A SPOT OF OIL UNDER THE FRONT END OF MY TRACTOR WHEN I PULLED IT OUT OF MY SHOP LAST WEEK. I LOOKED UNDER THE TRACTOR AND OIL FROM THE FRONT AXLE WAS DRIPPING OFF THE HOUSING WHERE THE DRIVESHAFT CONNECTS TO THE FRONT AXLE. I CARRIED IT TO MY DEALER AND HAVEN'T HEARD YET WHAT THEY FOUND. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM WITH A SEAL LEAKING ON THE FRONT AXLE OF THEIR TRACTOR?

No, mine is about 2 1/2 years old without any issues.

Did you change oil or add oil? Maybe the leak is coming from somewhere else.
My BX2660 is about 2 years old with no leaks that I'm aware of ....yet.

No I haven't added any oil. My little tractor is 2 1/2 yrs old and never had a problem. It has 184 hrs on it and so I was surprised to see the oil leak. Just wondered what might cause a seal like this to fail. Maybe I'll find something out from the dealer today. Thanks for the replys. At least it will be covered under warranty.

Good news. Went by dealership and they said it was not the front axle seal leaking. It was a bad O-ring on a valve block under the battery. The fluid was leaking and running down front drive shaft and then dripping out of cover surrounding front u-joint.

It's kinda like a hole in the roof, namely, where the water comes thru the ceiling ain't necessarily where the hole in the roof is.
