This cedar stump took me about 2 hours to dig out several weeks ago. I finally got around to moving it today. I couldn't lift it with the loader and didn't want to drag it and scrape up the lawn. I finally managed to grab it with the backhoe and the thumb. I had to have a big rock in the loader bucket to balance the load. It looks like there is dirt in the loader bucket as well in one of the photos, but that was just a bad angle I was shooting the picture at. If you ever are doing this, it helps to have the boom as close to the tractor as you can when you grab the stump. Then you extend the dipperstick to raise the load. It slipped out a couple of times, in the second photo you can tell I grabbed it from a better angle. I was able to drive like this for about 600 feet and drop it out of sight.

I dug this out with my B7800 and 4672 backhoe.

I would have bet you could not pick that up enough to move it.

I would not make a habit of it, if I were you.

Holy smokes! Pretty impressive. Hard to fathom sometimes just how strong hydraulics can be...

Wow - I am surprised that something didn't break. With all of that weight off the back that had to be a lot of stress on the machine. But these things are built tough and I must admit that I have put my BX2230 to the limits on more than one occasion. Hats off to you - be careful though.

This exercise is probably a good reason not to boost your hydraulic pressures over spec. I want that relief valve squawking before I bend something. I wasn't able to raise the boom at all with the stump on there, but I was able to move the boom side to side which was handy for keeping the center of gravity under control as I drove extremely slowly.

That picture would make a nice poster for your garage wall. That would answer a lot of peoples questions about "What are ya gonna do with that little tractor?"
