Hi All
I am fixing an BX2350 which has been a bit neglected, I bought it last week.

Problem:
The tractor keeps moving forward when my foot comes off the forward pedal. This looks straightforward to fix in the manual....just tighten the HST neutral return spring, but there is no sign of this spring when I look under the tractor....the shaft from the pedals just heads straight in to the transmission case.

any ideas?
Thanks
Peter

A couple of observations from a long time BX2350 owner. I can't really describe where the spring adjustment is, but I played with mine quite a bit and it didn't help at all. People also say make sure to grease the pivot point. My opinion is this also isn't usually the problem.

I spent quite a bit of time one day taking mine apart one day and try and figure out what is wrong. My observation is it can't be fixed, its a desgin problem.

A couple of things you can do to help the problem. There is a dampner in the system, kind of a small shock absorber looking device. Take that off and lose it. That fixes about 75% of the problem. It does create another problem though. BX 2350 are known for having a very jerky stop when backing up. This makes that problem even worse.

Also, the further down the HST pedal is pressed and the faster you let up on it, the quicker it stops. Of course if you are trying to move up close to something slowly, this doesn't work. Switching to low range helps as you are more likely to have the pedal pressed down further.

Also the warmer the weather and the more the tractor is warmed up also helps.

I removed the dampner from mine and have gotten used to the sudden stops on mine. Hope this helps.

Make sure you grease that zerk fitting right between the foot pedals like Dodge man mentioned. It's easy to miss if the factory floor cover is still there.
