I have a couple of questions for a backhoe for my 2350. IS subframe better then three point mount? Is it better to go with a pto powered with a seperate hydraulic pump or operate off of my tractors hydraulics? I am looking at a woods backhoe but was also wondering if anyone knows any comparable brands.

The general opinion is that a subframe is better especially if you are doing very much or or work which is demanding of the machine. You can get away with 3 pt if you are very occasionally doing light tasks.

You can go either way. The benefit of the PTO pump is that you do not have to have the tractor throttled up to get a larger volume of hyd to run the hoe. With tractor hyd you often will have to run at near full throttle to get the volume of hyd flow that you will want for the hoe, but with the PTO you can run at a much lower RPM and still have the flow that you need. Using the tractor's hyd is generally less expensive and simpler.

There are many good names in backhoes. Bradco is a name that frequently appears as a quality unit, as does Koyker and others. Check the thread http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/89304-backhoe-brands.html?highlight=hoe

If you do a search on "Backhoe" in the attachment forum you will get enough reading to keep you busy for a night or so.:D

3 point BH on a BX2350=don't do it a guy could get killed that way.
That tractor is not set up for a 3 point BH.
With Kubota and Massy having 0 percent financing you might be ahead to swap the BX2350 for a Massy GC2310 or a Kubota BX24.
