BX 23 won't turn over?

Hi All,

Please help. ran fine for about an hour yesterday, turned off, now it won't turn over.

fuses all check good, fuel pump, block heater and starter solenoid run when key turned.

Any help greatly appreciated before I turn it in to be serviced.

1st make sure your pto is disingaged
Put trans in nuetral and jiggle the lever
Lift up seat and see if your seat safety switch has come loose...or over ride it temporarily by putting a piece of cordboard or wood between the small lever and the contact point.
Check the engine ground to the battery.

If what Frank says does not work, do it all over again. Frank's tips cover 99% of all issues with starting (besides the obvious dead battery!)

You can check the battery condition by turning on the lights when you try to crank it. They would normally dim a bit when you turn the key. If they go dark, the battery is toast (or the connections). If the lights stay bright, something is stopping the tractor from supplying juice to the starter solenoid.
