Kubota BX 2660 & BX-23
The BX23 I picked up a couple weeks ago is doing just fine. Had it serviced by Kubota and everything but the seat looks good. I have no manuals with this tractor and am curious what the rpm operating range should be when running the backhoe? Does a high engine rpm put strain on the BH hydraulics. What is best practice? Thanks!

As high as you can operate smoothly... Engine RPM will relate to Speed...
Usually when new to hydraulic controls you will use Lower RPM, that will allow you to become more familiar with the system. KennyV

With no load, they will just operate faster. With a load, the pressure is controlled, so that it cannot get to a point that will cause damage.

Anything over a medium rpm and you won't be able to pick up anything bigger, but you can take a pretty good chunk out of your house or whatever else is close by as you flail about at high speed figuring out the controls.

1000 RPM is still max for me many days. :D

Slapping the house is a bad image for sure.
