Just figured I'd ask but I imagine that the Kubota loader is better than any aftermarket version. Plus, my BX does not have the hydraulics for the loader. I have been quoted at $2600 + tax for the Kubota loader and hydraulics.....Good or bad??

Hi,I have a BX2230 with a OE loader and love it.My freind has a BX2200 and just got the woods loader for it.The only major difference to note is the hydralic connections, not as user friendly, as the Kubota set up.The woods proforms well and has a few more lbs. of lifting cap.He got his woods installed for about $2400.total.If I remember he was quoted $2800 for the Kubota LA211 loader installed, but none in stock when he wanted it.Good luck you'll going to wander how you got along without one after you have it.

Hey RaT, whats up? Yep, I got myself a BX about 2 years ago for mowing my lawn, these little things are the BEST, I actually like cutting my lawn. My only complaint is that the bagging system is too small...... and I should have bought the loader at the same time I bought the tractor. I do miss the 110 though, great machine, my business just changed, more excavation than landscaping, now every piece of constuction equipment I own has tracks. How have things been with you, still happy with your Bota?

Yep, everything has tracks. I have a friend with a tracked Bobcat and excavator. He has more work then he wants. Tommorrow he is doing my neighbors place (I got him the job). I have a Kubota L3830 HST but am going to sell it as my needs have changed. I'm down to a little over an acre. Kid loves it has plenty of play friends, my wife is right next to a huge recreation area for her running and I just want everyone happy. I am looking at a BX to mow, chip and load for my little lot. I just can't seem to stop moving dirt.

The little bugger will do all of that fer ya, and still let you move some soil around! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifWow, a little over an acre huh, if I recall you had quite a bit of property, right? In the end though, its gotta be all about your family!

Yeah, the "new" tracked skid steers are hard to beat, they are so efficient, when I sold the 110 I replaced it with a Cat 287B multi terrain loader, the thing amazes me every time I use it, especially with the Harley rake.

You have it nailed. I refrain from even discussing it here. The tracksteers are it when your talking about moving dirt and manuverability, oh yeah, and flats are a thing of the past. I really like what CAT has to offer. Where I live, our "association" bought a CAT to do maintenence. It mows, it cuts, it slices and dices. Mini bull dozers in reality.

Redharley, Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated. I kinda figured the Kubota loader would be a bit nicer, and my local dealer has em' in stock. How quick/easily does the loader come off, or do you leave it on when you mow because it is a pain to remove?

Tags, I have the loader on my L3830 off in 38 seconds, the most time conuming part is the time it takes to walk around the loader. It goes on in approximately 1min 27 seconds. I never mow with it on, it is so much easier from a visibility, ease of turning, and it has a better ride especially in less then smooth conditions. The BX has almost the exact same attachment method.
