IMO, thats a bit high for a loader off ebay.

Why would you say this? eBay is a tool to get buyers and sellers together -- not a place to find ridiculously cheap merchandise.
Apparently the high bidder found the price better than he could get at his local dealer. It looks as though eBay has made two more people happy (Buyer and Seller)

I just happened to ask my dealer yesterday what a loader would cost for my BX2200, and he told me $2,500 +/- a couple bucks.
That is installed. I would say the one on ebay went for more than it should have, considering that it was not installed and probably did not have any warrenty on it. And it needed to be picked up. If I remember right, the seller said it was worth $2,700 new...and new includes warrantee.
So I would tend to agree it went for more than I would have paid for it. At that price it would have cost me more to get it home than if I had just had the dealer put a new, warranteed one on for me...
If the buyer is happy and the seller is happy though, what do I care???
