bx 2200 hood rattle

I have had the tractor for 2 years and just noticed a noise
from the hood. Seems the hood latch opening is worn a little
and at idle you can see the hood vibrating and when I hold
the hood down against the probe which mates to the latch the
noise goes away. Any fix for this?

I just used some of that foam window sealing tape that comes in rolls. I used the 1/2" wide stuff. I cut two pieces to run the full length of the hood, one on each side. No more rattles, cost was like 2 bucks.

What are you talking about? The air gaps between the hood are not for air circulation. The BX uses a reverse mounted radiator and the hot air escapes through the front of the tractor.

rrwitt --Well Welcome to BX country. They should supply ear protection when you buy a BX22 or BX2200. I did a search and found the best fix was to push in the side. Not too hard it will buckle (I did that and had to fix)...easy though.

This works mint! I guess I did not have the hood raddle when new but, since my dealer said I have a broken air filter bracket. Once he fixed that i had the raddle of death. So i had to fix the hood. THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD LIVE WITH THAT.!!!
