This tractor has only 250 hrs. I changed oil and filter this past fall. Machine ran great until a couple of days ago. Found a spray of oil coming from under the transaxle assembly. Upon further investigation the filter expanded to the point that it relieved through the filter gasket. Thinking this may of been a freak filter I installed a new OEM filter. Unfortunately it happened again about an hour later. I'm pretty good at fixing things and thought I would give it try with all your help out there. Any ideas on where to start ?

Eager to fix !

I'm not a mechanic but it sounds as if your hydraulic pump is either putting out TOO MUCH pressure or there is some kind of an obstruction ......in any event if it were my tractor I would get it checked out by a compentent mechanic before you cause any furthur damage.....sometimes it's best to eat your pride and leave it up to a pro...just my opinion.

rosey,

Thanks for the advice, I'm not going to throw the towel in just yet. I'm in the process of buying a test gauge kit for pressure verification.

regards,
