BX 200hr club?

I just did my 200 hour on my 3 year old BX 1860. All went well except I broke the headlight assembly for the second time, and I am unable to install the new ($120) assembly--just won't fit right. So, I now have a headlight-less BX. Fortunately, my winter cab has good lights mounted up high.

Sorry to hear your fix won't fit... I wonder why. Was there a tweak on the part number between your BX and the latest?

I've wondered that myself. I'm certainly no mechanical whiz, but it seems that after four hours I'd be able to figure out how to install this thing....just can't get the holes to line up properly. I even removed the hood and put it on my workbench so I could sit and contemplate. No good. This thing is driving me crazy.

You may already have done this. But be sure to check tightness of alternator belt and make sure to grease the zerk for the throttle pedal, hidden under the floor mat.

Thanks for that tip, that zerk was well hidden! I am not sure its been lubed since new. There are a lot of those sneaky little buggers hiding out on these things.

Does this say 200 or 2.00? My 200s are gone and my new one that I just drove into the garage has 2.30 Barlows and factory put those on it.

This great machine just turned 200 hours after just a year ownership it keeps 15 acres of grass tamed In the summer along with many backhoe jobs on our 22 rental houses.

Im at my 200 hr service point so thanks for all good reminders guys. One thing I have been looking for is someone here on TBN created a excel sheet with his BX maintenance. I cant seem to find the post. Does anyone know where to find it?
