BX 1860, MMM, FEL
I have been waiting for the last few months for the new 1860 and I have only found 1 local dealer that has one in stock. I can't get any of the other dealers to give a price so I was wondering what everyone else is paying. I priced an 1860 with fel and 48" mower. I was quoted $11,940.
I'm in Ohio and was just wondering what numbers you all are getting.

I've checked two dealers in Eastern Iowa...same setup your talking about. One was $12,390 and the other was $11,500. The one that had the higher price offered me $8000 for my 285 hr mint BX2230 with 60" MMM and FEL. I don't think they were too interested in selling me one. The other dealer came today to look at my trade and I suspect an offere tomorrow. both dealers said the 1860 was available and should only take a couple weeks to get one. MY dad said he talked to another dealer today and they have a BX1860 on the lot...I'll be checking it ASAP, since I have not seen one yet.

I think around $11,000 to $11,500 is what I am willing to pay depending on my trade in value or if i can sell mine. If its on the higher end, I going to try for an extra set of tires and the mulching kit in the deal.

I paid $11,500 for my BX2350 this spring with a 60" MMM. Are the 1860's just high right now because they are the latest and greatest?

The dealer is telling me that Kubota for the first time has added surcharges to the price in addition to the planned price increase for the new model. I know there is additional cost in the new model with the fenders being steel but the price here seems high. I have gotten a few more quote from other dealers in Ohio by email and they are all higher than my orginal quote. I guess I might have to wait until the newness wears off some. Thanks for the responses.

with an FEL?? Wow, if so, that is a heck of a deal....so much for getting a good trade in price for my BX2230. I think I paid over $13,000 for it almost 5 years ago, and that was about $1500 less than any other dealer I had negotiated with at the time.

I stopped by another dealer today and he gave me a quick price of $11,900 for the BX1860, 48" MMM and FEL.

i think you're in the ballpark, total price. i'd rethink the the 48" deck however. the wheels do not pivot out/swivel . . . making it harder to move on the floor (only my 0.02 cents). for what amounted to a $100.00, i was able to purchase the 54" fine cut deck.
good luck with your future purchase. BTW, i believe, was alerted to the wheel situation by another TBN kubota brothern, who gave me the same two cents i just gave you. i appreciated his comment. shrekbelly

Not sure about the others here....but my interest in the 48" is purely clearance issues in my heavily landscaped yard. I already have a BX2230 with a 60"....going to a 54" would still not fit where I want it to go. Yes, I know about the non swivel anti-scalp wheels and that is a real detraction to the 48", especially since I have a set of Mower Axle Guy Mower stands that work in the 54" and 60" decks. The 48" fine cut is almost 100 lbs lighter then the 60" I have now, so sliding it out form under the tractor should be no issue.

Good points though.

Bandaman, my bad, the price I listed at $11,500 did not include the FEL, which I bought a couple of months latter. I didn't notice the FEL listed in the original post, but that price sounds pretty good with the FEL included.

That price isn't bad based on what I paid for my BX 1850 last June - $12,000 even with loader, 54" MMM, ballast box and grill guard. My dealer is getting a few BX1860 this week and I will be testing one out as I've not been happy with the abrupt stopping in reverse on the 1850 - otherwise suits my needs. Plan would be to keep my current attachments and just trade up on the tractor. Sales guy said the base price increased $300. So it would cost me $300 plus whatever depreciation is on my 1850 which has 32 hours. Of course, I'm in the Northeast, renowned for higher tractor prices for some reason.
