Buying service manuals

How much do service manuals usually run from the dealer?

My 3550 will be delivered this week and was going to talk to the dealer tomorrow about getting the manual but wanted an idea of typical prices.

How much does it cost you to take it to the dealer for a couple of hours labor and transport fees?
With the WSM and parts manuals I've been able to take care of a bunch of things when the tractor "hiccuped".

Maybe if I was rich and had my own mechanic on call I wouldn't buy the WSM, but I bet the mechanic would.

Had them included with purchase after negotiating price......don't know what he paid but he didn't complain.

When I ordered my emax22 I made it a condition of the sale to include a repair manual.

I ended up with a Mitsubishi CUT MT180D some years ago.
Fortunately a buddy had access to distributor pricing but even at that I spent $75.00 or so.
That $75 probably has saved me $750, in shop labor as it permitted me to do the majority of repairs and maintenance myself.
I got shop, parts and owner's manual.

I always like to have manuals foe all that I own.

Mine (3016) was 130 bucks. My brother bought one for his kioti, 130 bucks. Different dealers in different towns.

I used to but manuals for everything but that got to be a bit expensive. Now I look for a download and just print off the pages I need.

If it's as low as five bucks it's way too much for what you get. It's the worst excuse for a service manual that I've ever seen. It doesn't even rise to the level of a Chiltons or Haynes.

If its a TYM reprint I agree with dickfoster. Barely worth the megs it takes up on your harddrive. Hate to think trees were wasted to print any.

While mine is a Mitsu tractor, the manual is still worthless. In the end, it's still a Mahindra problem regardless of who made what because it's sold under their banner.

No dealer will ever give you a repair manual I agree but a service manual yes.

When I purchased my emax22 it was with the condition I receive a hard copy or digital copy of the repair manual. Dealer came thru for me with a hard copy.

How different would the manual for the WSM_B2050_B2350_B2650_B3150_EN be? If that one is the same tractor but just pre-emissions, PM me and I will give you the link to my Google Drive location where you can copy it. I already printed it and put it in a 3 ring binder, it's a great document with color photos and all.
