We live in the Pacific NW and want to buy a new RTV1100 with the premium cab and sliding windows. We were wondering what kind of a deal we can get. Does anyone know the dealer cost for the RTV1100 ? Thanks

Thanks, I sent them an email for pricing.

I sure would like to know what an RTV1100 costs the dealer.
Why? Maybe the dealer wants to know how much money you have. Will either one matter?

Mine was 2009 leftover bought in 2010...I think I paid in the mid 16's for the base machine with no options...With the plow and all of the other options I larded on, it came to around 19K...No exact numbers because I'm trying to forget I spent this much money on a toy..I like it, but it's still an expensive toy:D

The wife and the daughter like it, so it's all good.

Buying a tractor or RTV is no different than buying a car. I don' mind a dealer making a profit, in fact I want him to make money, however paying MSRP in this economy is ridiculous. I have 32 Kubota dealers in driving distance, some have no stock while others have them sitting around in boxes. Now is not a good time to sit on a lot of inventory so I am hoping to help one dealer eliminate one RTV1100 from his inventory but my wife won't let me pay MSRP for it. This is a gift to my wife so she can see our property in the winter so we don't have to have it.

In your mind it may be the same as buying a car but that's about as close as it comes. The dealer network, dealer buying the product and company support are different than cars. I've bought over 130 cars and twelve tractors, some experience.
There are thousands maybe hundreds of thousands more cars sold than tractors. In each community there are several car dealers and maybe 1, 2, 3 or 4 tractor dealers or none. Sell 200 cars a year or sell 15 tractors a year. Profit margin has to be greater on the tractor, not saying it is but it just about has to be.
Dealers do not always own the tractors. Sometimes the tractors are owned by Kubota and the dealer gets to sell them. At a point the dealer may have to buy them or give them back to Kubota but not the same as with cars.
You don't have to pay MSRP which can be determined by going to the Kubota site and doing your build one. You can find MSRP and then shop for a deal just like with cars and seems with 32 dealers you have a great shopping area for tractors.
Barlows usually has very good prices and delivers all over. Contact them for a price, then shop your 32 dealers.
To know what they cost isn't as simple as knowing what a dealer pays for a car. Not paying MSRP also has nothing to do with how much they cost. You can know MSRP so now go to the 32 dealers and see how much they will charge you for you to take it home. That's really all that matters.

I understand what you are saying. But for me knowing the dealer cost helps me pull the trigger faster. If I found a dealer that needs to unload one to clear his inventory and he offered it to sell it for say $500 over his cost, I would be down talking to him about accessories for it as soon as I could get down there. And don't forget the ongoing service for it....he'll make plenty of money, but no one makes money if I don't buy one.

I doubt that you'll ever find the true cost anywhere. I believe that invoice on cars is a manufactured number and not really the dealer cost.

Go to the Kubota site and do a build my Kubota. That would be your starting point. MSRP is listed..From there I would just start making phone calls. Someone around you will outbid everyone else. Happened every time in my case. Some dealers think they're sitting on gold and won't budge, others will be more than happy to work with you. Sometimes volume is better than hitting home runs.

Mine listed around 18k, but since it was a leftover, I got a fairly good discount.

Don't forget to try Barlow's as well. I didn't end up buying there, but they were unbelievable to work with. Kudos to them.

I also need to add some accessories, so I am hoping to find one in the $16,000 range so I can add more toys to it. I would really like to get a rotary broom or a snow plow for use on our driveway.

Thanks for letting me know what you paid.
