You should be able to get a good used unit close to that price range. I bought a 2003 Kubota L5030 with 735 hours last year for a little more than that. I bought it from a dealer, so from an individual it would have been cheaper. Admittedly I was luck, but it can be done with patience at least here; don't know about where you live.

Here it is the day of delivery.
