Have 5 flat acres of clay. Impressed w/CK20 reviews.
What about the CK25/30. Will be used for mowing/disking
as well as projects like loading, grading etc. Thanks all.

If you are planning to disc and grade etc., check out the CK30. The CK25 is same frame as the CK30, just weaker engine.

Thank you CjR. After reading deep through the pages here
at the NET, there's lots of people asking similar questions.
Just missed the World Ag Expo in Tulare , Ca. by one day. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I prefer to say that the CK30 has the same frame as the CK25, just a stronger engine, and costs over $1000 more money. 25HP should be fine for 5 acres IMHO. Keep in mind these tractors have three ranges also.

I also have 5 acres. 2 in yard around the house and shed, and 3 of it pasture with a small 2 stall barn. I opted for the CK20 and it has done everything I asked, although if physical size wouldn't have been a limiting factor, I probably would have bought larger just to get more HP or definitely would have bought more HP in the same footprint if they had that model. I sold my riding mower that I used at my old place and use the CK20 for everything. Brush hogging and finish mowing, loader work, and most recently tilling.
