First let me say Thank You to all posters of TBN! This site is great.

Next let me say that I grew up on a small farm and have been using tractors all my life.

I decided on the Tc35 to 45 models. Started getting prices from local dealers, then using these resources started final dickering.

Now also let me tell you that I never even drove any of these models, but because of my 15 year relationship with this now salesman (prior service manager) bought this unit sight unseen. Now that's what a good relationship is! (no I'm not nuts and I usually price / demo all equipment first, no demo no sale!) He new me so well that he was able to take my questions / answers, all of his questions and make this deal.

They located it in 1 day 4 hours away. Delivered it yesterday, I'm 2 hours away from them. The most common thought is to find the correct dealer. I also agree but I'll go a step further and say the people make the dealership! Next stay with service 1st $ 2nd. So remember develope relationships and stay with them.
When we first started the quotes it was a TC35DA with no super steer, 16LA loader and 1 rear remote. I ended up with 40DA. I believe I got the best deal possible, total price 24675. Here's the specs. TC40DA, SS, 4X4, Hydro, R4, 2 RR, Grille Guard, 17LA loader QA, 48" forks. I made a man lift today. I can't believe how useful these forks are.

Hi Chuck, welcome to TBN and the NH forums. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think you made a great choice of tractors and got a very good deal, especially considering the SS option. Your FEL forks will work well as a manlift, but you will need two persons (one on the tractor) if you plan to spend much time "in the bucket." A few weeks ago when we were building a barn with wroughtn_harv, we were using a manlift cage on forks. Every few minutes we had to have someone touch-up the curl because it would bleed down and the bucket would droop. That was on a TC40DA, but my TC45D does the same thing. The rear 3PH is solid, but the FEL hydraulics will bleed down. You also need a good operator on the tractor because they can jerk you pretty good if they don't have the right touch on the FEL joystick. The first time I had my wife raise me up to put corn in my deer feeder, I got a couple of "thrills" /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif until she got used to the joystick. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yes...welcome! Sounds like you got a real nice set up. Enjoy and be safe. You will really like the ss after you get used to it.

Jim thanks for the welcome. As far as the bleed down, I haven't had any yet. Also I hope I don't jinx myself. As far as a good person on the controls, everyone needs a few thrills in life-))! Next let me say that the dealer is selling my 1920 (12x12) so this (hydro) is a new machine for me and I like it a lot. Only had 2.5 hours of sleep the night before it arrived. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Just finished eating dinner (10pm now) headed back out to move a load of gravel that is in the wrong spot. 300' back and forth gotta love the hydro. also the speed control on the bucket control handle. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Slippy also thanks this site is great. Now as far as getting used to the Hydo - you're absoutly right it is going to take a few -)) hours. On the SS no need to get used to it it seems natural just exagerated with it movement. Kinda like backing a hay wagon slow at first and then nothing to it.

Jim your first mistake was your getting in the bucket. Next time let your wife go for the ride, it will be a lot smoother for the both of you. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
