I have read enough here to know that I,d like to consider a 4wd Yanmar for snow removal and light farming duties here on my 5 acre place in Western Colorado. I have also read enough to be worried about getting stuck with a lemon from a dealer who either can't or won't support me because he is too far away or does not have the resources. Judging from the posts on this site, there are obviously some real quality sellers/dealers out there, but so far I have not identified any in my region.

So.....I have two basic questions for starters......Are there some good guys to buy from within say, 250 miles of Grand Junction, Colo? Or how reasonable is it to buy a tractor from a top dealer 1000 miles away? (I'd plan to have local tractor mechanic friend help with repairs, not truck it back to the far away dealer, but I would still want parts support)

thanks,

RockyMtn, parts should not be a problem from the dealers who post here. You will normally have to get them via mail regardless. Most everyday wear items filters, oil and bearing are probably standard and locally available. I keep a small supply of consumables on hand just in case. Now your problem is finding that next luv of y'ur life.
