Use Ammoseek.com
Always can find great deals with free or cheap shipping

I use Ammoseek.com too but when you're looking for several different items in small quantities the shipping adds a significant cost. So having nothing much else to do at night I ended up making a spreadsheet and charting different companies with the added shipping costs. Sometimes the cheapest ammo turned out to be more expensive when shipping added in.

Luckily Ammoseek sorts by shipping cost. I typically buy in 1000rd increments, which helps with aggregate shipping

Nothing CHEAP in ammunition today far as I can tell. Maybe the prices will abate some now that we have a new Sherriff in town, maybe not. I buy very little loaded rounds, only rimfire. Just bought an 8 pound jug of H335 for loading 223's direct from Hogdon in Shawnee Mission and it was over 400 bucks plus shipping and hazmat. Last time I bought an 8 pounder it was half that cost.

I'm just glad I bought most all my components back when they were relatively inexpensive because today, nothing is inexpensive except maybe cheap Chinese tools...lol

I have a friend who works at Trijicon. The retail price compared to his employee price would make your eyes water.
I have asked "politely" (read, with a couple of Ben Franklins) for him to procure one of their best optics for me.
He's already bought his allotment of scopes before HR starts asking questions for this year. Fair enough, can't have your employees selling stuff on the side. But I'm told my politeness has secured a Ten-Mile scope for next year.

I'm also in the same boat regarding ammo "Ohhh...so that's what that box was! Well, better to have and not need than to need and not have."

My dad passed away 2 years ago this month. He left me 3 large worksite job boxes full to the brim with 22 ammo, 5.56, and 9mm. There were some other calibers mixed in too but the brunt was these 3. And it's all top shelf ammo too which is nice... There was also 150 20 round AR magazines still in packaging.

Ah, Ha - I still have one of the ammo bags that the bulk ammo came in. The company - CCI in Lewiston, ID not Clarkston, WA. Really - a very small difference. The two towns are on the either side of the Snake River.
Clarkston and Lewiston are inches apart geographically and miles apart politically/2A wise.

Some friends and I stop by Rocky Mountain Reloading in Lewiston every year on our way to Boomershoot. We get tours of their bullet mfg operation. So very interesting. Nothing like holding a warm bullet fresh off the line!

I hear ya! There is ONE thing I get that's a steal: pickup targets from the trap club.

We go after league night and can usually snag 4 cases (then she doesn't make me go walk at the gym!) The MEC has a radio so we can quickly setup presentations in the pasture and practice.

Since Obama entered office, I've just held on to the little what I've got of ammo. Hardest was to get stupid f.kin large rifle primers so I could load ammo for my meat gun.

All my guns and X bows could be meat guns and bows actually. Buddy just took a 12 point about 4 miles from here with his 10 point.

I have literally bricks of Large Rifle magnum match primers and everything else too. All Federal except the SR primers, they are CCI.

Presently loading for my 460 XVR S&W. 300 grain Hornady XTP's with Lil Gun in the correct amount and of course Federal Gold Medal large rifle magnum primers. Just finished a 50 box of 338 Lapua, 250 grain Bergers in Norma brass.
