Buying Advice Used Kubota or New Kioti

Sounds like you got a great deal. I like the 3510 a lot - I don't have a ton of experience, and slowing me down a tiny bit is probably a good thing.

Very nice. As to the HST, yes they are very nice but I doubt you would have gotten such a good deal if the tractor you bought had one. So enjoy and post some pictures please.

After using the tractor for a couple hours, the manual transmission and shuttle is okay but I can definitely see the advantage of the synchronized transmission with Hydraulic Shuttle. With manual you have to bring the tractor to a complete stop for any change of gear or direction. Not bad for bush hogging but I can see where the HS would be a big time saver for loader work or brush hogging in a situation where you have to go back and forth a lot, ie backing into edge of trees lines etc. The HST would also be nice being able to change speed with just the push of the pedal, again mostly a time saver. I am semi-retired so time saving was not as big of an issue for me. Overall very happy with the Kioti. Next up is a toothbar purchase so I can see how well it will dig and move dirt.

Sounds like a nice machine and a good deal.

Congrats! I got the toothbar for my LS at the site below....it was very stout and reasonably priced. I gave it some serious tests and it never had any issues:
