There's a low hour Hoyt Clagwell for sale not too far away. Priced very reasonably.
It's been in storage for some time.
Problem I hear is that parts and service are hard to get.
Is worth the trouble?

Never heard of it before. I would check for water in the oil and for any wiring issues due to mice and other critters.

Why do you need or want this tractor?

Arnold and Oliver and I are going to pick it up tomorrow.
Bit of a drive but Olivers Lincoln has a cushy ride.
Can't wait until it warms up and I can put the Hoyt Clagwell to the test.

We decided to leave today and pick up my Hoyt Clagwell early Monday.
Must have taken a wrong left turn in Albuquerque.
We couldn't find Hooterville or the Shady Rest Hotel until late. They kept the kitchen open late just for us. Chef serves a mean plate of possum innards and mustard greens.
We got lost in some place called Bug Tussel. A nice older gentleman by the name of Jed finally got us going in the right direction.
Just one sleep until I get my new to me machine.
It's like Christmas.

Should have hung on to my money.
This thing smokes and backfires like you wouldn't believe. Worse than a Soviet era car.
Only 2 speeds and it grinds like crazy before you can get going. No reverse so you have to be careful to always have a straight ahead route.
Then one or the other or both of the rear wheels fall off.
You can torque them on. You can crazy glue them on. They fall off.
Took a while to put a new battery in. I swear it was trying to electrocute us.
Finally got it going and it bucked me off. Or that's what it seemed like.
Monday morning it's going for scrap if the guy can get it loaded up.
Glad to see the back of it.
Can you imagine trying to farm with something like that.

Lol, you should post some pictures at least. I think it would be a cool piece if you could get it going again. Hopefully someone will take an interest and get it going again.

I'm sorry that the Hoyt Clagwells time on your acreage wasn't green and productive.
