It'll be a busy year for me and my B7500. In the spring I'm gettin' married and in the meantime settin' up a new home. I'm buying a new "modular home" (I still call them trailers) to live in with my soon to be bride and our georgeous daughter (the order came in backwards).

We're setting up the new home on the present place so I can keep an eye on the place and help take care of my 78 year old mother.

I'll be busy digging ditches for water, sewer etc., landscaping and gettin' grass on the soon to be graded area, taking care of a lot of driveway etc...

It's gonna be a busy year! We our ordering our home hopefully by the end of the week. We have picked out everything and I'm getting estimates on the dozer work etc this week.

theboman,

Gongratulations on all the good that is happening in your life!

Brings back memories of my "Five year plan." I was building from the ground up myself...

26 years later, I"m STILL not finished!

And you have a ONE YEAR PLAN!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Can't help but want to chalk that up to the optimism of youth...

Been there, done that taking, kind of..../forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Enjoy...

We built a house in the year before we were married. Then the next summer (last year) we built a barn, added a deck, and poured a driveway, sidewalks, and dug a pond.

Now this summer I've got a house and a barn that aren't quite done, a yard to put in, and a pond to stock

And who knows what else will pop up in the meantime!

Becareful, it may be a baby! We got ours before the marriage... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We're not in a hugh hurry, just as fast as we can get things done is the plan.

Congrats and good luck. We moved into our stick built house 2 years ago in December. It only took 4 months before we were in it but to save costs and have some upgrades I took on the task of trim work and landscaping. I'm still trying to complete both after more than 2 years but I love the place and it gives me more seat time. I wish the weather would get warmer so the ground would thaw. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It's funny how new projects always seem to pop up.

We're meeting at the bank this Friday to pay for the home. The electric and water companies have been contacted for their services. The home tower has been contacted. All is good!

Momma's happy. Got a boat load of new furniture (we had none) and new washer and dryer, all I got was a lousy 52" TV /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dozer/track hoe guy has been here once... Time's a wasting!

Boy howdy, it's been a busy week! I bought the 16X80 Clayton home last week. Spent the next day removing under pinning and helping the little woman clean the inside.

I've had the electric company over, and paid for the water tap to be installed and now heavy equipment is doing it's thing! Moving lots of dirt, digging out old springs, loading the 42" trenches with gravel and PVC to drain.... We're getting somewhere now fast!

The equipment operator even cut down an area behind the barn and all along the ditch line where I can actually mow the grass in most the area and get my bush hog in the barn area, which was a 8' drop off before! He even buried some old brush we had piled up and I did a bit of cleanup too of an old fence and dead trees etc....

Time to get some straw and grasses growing...In the barn area that may turn into a small food plot for critters since we have no animals out to pasture.

It's neat, my niece is building a new home "up on the hill" so there's lots of construction going on around the old home place.

Hopefully we can get the home moved in later next week.
