I have a later model bushhog 3008 8 foot 3 point rotary cutter that is giving problems The rubber disc between the gear boxes seem to start coming apart. I am on the third set in 2 years. I run the pto at 540 rpm. The new discs have less than 5 hours of use. I replaced the bolts, nuts and special washers, torqued at 50 ft. Lbs. Anyone have an idea for a solution?

I thought so. If are off a little,is this the cause?

IDK. Honestly I have not heard of anyone having your problem. And I have been around a few 3008 cutters. If the timing was off and cut crop was slugging where the blades run close I wonder if that could be hard on the discs.

The cuts are clean. I’m cutting mostly weeds like Johnson grass and iron weeds.

Are you using genuine Bush Hog discs or aftermarket? I am not sure what difference that makes, I have sold a bunch of the aftermarket discs and never had a complaint.
I am quite puzzled by your problem. Are the shafts misaligned?

Aftermarket from A&I. I will replace discs and the blades. Maybe it will help. If not, I will take it to a dealer for help. Thanks for the help.
